BB – Moonshiner @ The Boondocks on 3/11 with Jimmy Neutron

The warm weather had many of us feeling a little exposed, or as Yankovic commented to Le Pew, “so that’s what you look like without clothes”. It was a strange feeling to get dressed in the morning and not put on pants, an extra layer of shirts, and a sweatshirt, yet it was a welcome change. I went over the disclaimer, and lead the group on a warmup mosey towards the baseball concessions stand. We didn’t make it all the way there because a couple large piles of dirt had been moved onto the pathway to start prepping the baseball fields for spring play. On our way back we heard Holy Roller riding in with his coupon strapped on the back of his bike. After the warmup run we stretched with grass grabbers, downward dog, right foot-right hand, reach for the sky and then the left side, followed by some quad stretches.

PAX in attendance:

  • Bulletin (R)
  • Holy Roller (R)
  • Yankovic (R)
  • Le Pew
  • Cochran
  • Wide Right
  • Edward Scissorhands
  • Captain Crunchberry
  • Jimmy Neutron (Q)

The Thang:

We did a ladder leg day, focusing on good ‘subatomic’ form. The ladder consisted of 20 reps each of:

  • Step Ups on the picnic benches (10 per leg)
  • Coupon Squats
  • Dead Lifts
  • Lunges w/ coupon (10 per leg)
  • Box Jumps on the picnic benches
  • Thrusters

After each round we sprinted/ran fast around a marker about 50 yards away and moseyed back. Each subsequent round included an additional run, so on round 2 you did 2 laps, round 3 was 3 laps, etc. We worked the ladder until time ran out, then circled around the flag to count off and for name-o-rama. Announcements included an explanation and call to support Fungi’s fundraiser for flood victims in Eastern KY. Intentions included prayers for Le Pew’s family and remembrance of his grandmother Rose who passed away yesterday. We closed with an Our Father and escaped as the rain started to fall.

Peace and Love,

Jimmy Neutron.
