Whitney put a plea out there for an audible on his Q and I waited for a little bit, but to make sure Whitney didn’t start to sweat I went ahead and picked it up. After all, Pleasantville is like my second home.
PAX:
- Gollum
- Cratchit
- Tidwell
- 1Nut
- Yankovic (R)
- Holy Roller (R)
- Edward Scissorhands
- Flexseal (FNG)
- NPR
- FOcker
- Cliffhanger (FNG)
- Asian Zing (R)
- Pelican
- Schlitz
- Jolly Rancher (Q)
Disclaimers were given and it was clear that some folks didn’t catch the audible that was called after Whitney made his pre-blast as folks were carrying coupons up to the flag. But, my modified pre-blast implied no coupons. No worries.
We left the coupons and set out on a mosey over to the school where we did some COP.
COP:
- SSH
- Grass Grabbers
- Downward Dog + Runner’s Stretches
- Toy Soldiers
- Michael Phelps
Have no idea if that is really what we did, but if I did it over again I’d do that.
The Thang – 11s around the Block:
Wasn’t sure how many to expect and more showed up than I expected – so we had a room and spacing issue. Never fear. Modify as necessary is the name of the game. So, we partnered up and PAX 1 started on their 11s at the school while PAX 2 went off for a mosey around the soccer / baseball field that sits in between the school and the circle of Meeting Street. Have no idea how long that distance is, but it must be like 9 miles for one lap. Because it sure felt long.
The 11s were as follows – starting at the bottom of the steps by the playground:
- Start with 1x merkin
- Box jump up the four steps
- 5x broad jumps towards the school
- Mosey the rest of the way to the school
- 10x jump squats
- Then mosey back to starting position
The goal was that PAX 1 kept his own count while PAX 2 kept his own count. So, the only purpose of the partners really was to make space for the 11s and do more running. Everyone loves running.
A few of the PAX got some extra credit of more 11s with dips and something else equally as awesome that I don’t remember.
Time was getting close to over so we ended the Thang and set off back towards the flag.
Mary:
A few minutes of Mary, we did some Big Boy Situps and Gas Pumps and then time was called.
COT:
Countarama, namearama, naming our 2 FNGs [Flexseal is an engineer…so, the best product known to mankind was his namesake; whereas Cliffhanger is an avid rock climber…we debated that this may be too cool of a nickname, but it was too good], announcements and then intentions.
Always a pleasure to lead – even if on short notice! I love this stuff!
Jolly Rancher out!
