Whitney was on the DL and didn’t have a Q yet and nobody else jumped on it which means I scooped it up. Asian Zing would be the lone soldier to post with me, which was perfectly fine with me.
Time was called and we mosey’d over half way around the circle and stopped for some COT. I can’t remember what we did, but I assume it was SSH, Downward Dog, Runners Stretches, Toy Soldiers and Squats. That’s pretty much my standard.
We then finished the mosey around back to the area where a flag would have normally been planted. Here, I introduced the Thang.
Thang – Route 66:
Goal would be to do an increasing count of reps around the circle – increasing the rep count at each light pole. We did multiple loops, but switched up the exercises each time. Those exercises included:
- Jump Squats
- Big Boy Sit Ups
We then had a little bit of time left and set out back out on the road for a long mosey cool down – taking a right and then hitting the sidewalk around the pond to head back to. Great sights and great way to recall how special working out in the morning really is with the sunrise.
Countarama [that part was pretty easy], namerama [also remarkably easy to remember], announcements and intentions.
What’s cool about F3 is that it doesn’t matter who or how many show up to work out. You still find a way to push each other even if it is just two PAX. And that’s exactly what happened today.
Jolly Rancher out!
