Yes, this is a bit tardy. But, here you go anyways.
- Brown Water
- Yankovic (R)
- Single Source
- Holy Roller (R)
- Cratchit (co-Q)
- Jolly Rancher (co-Q)
Time was called and Cratchit and I introduced ourselves and how it’s a mash-up, which is that he and I work together and having this was our attempt at helping Cratchit have a Jolly (Rancher) Christmas this year.
We left our coupons and mosey’d [or is it mosied? mosey’ed? moseyed?] up to the front for the start for COP, which consisted of some great exercises. Things like SSH, Grass Grabbers, Runners Stretches and some other awesomness. And yes, you’re correct – I don’t remember them.
We then finished the mosey back to the back parking lot where we began for the first Thang.
Thang 1 – Past, Present and Future:
This was led by Cratchit and was a play on The Christmas Story with Scrooge going to visit himself in the past, present and future. Except, it was arms, legs and core. We split into three groups and each group started at their respective station. Goal was do to each of the four exercises on the cards and then rotate. We did two full laps – so two visits at each station, which consisted of:
- Overhead Press
- Elf on The Shelf
- Skull Crushers
- Bobby Hurley’s
- Calf Raises
- Big Boy Sit-Ups
- Heart Breakers
- Flutter Kicks
As we did this Thang, Cratchit played some of his favorite Christmas music – you know, things like Run DMC’s Christmas in Hollis. Good times. Pelican would have approved.
Thang 2 – Mt. Mercy Mile:
Jolly Rancher ran this one, which included another mosey back to the front where we started on Mt. Mercy at the telephone pole with 1 merkin. Then down the street at the next pole, 2 merkins – rinse and repeat to Houston lane where the 10th and final telephone pole greeted us at the stop sign.
On the way back, we did broad jumps. Much to the chagrin of the PAX, this was not a broad jump all the way to the first pole and do merkins. It was 1 broad jump at the first pole, then mosey to the second where you’d do 2 broad jumps, etc. Much less moaning after the clarification was provided.
We ended with a few minutes left – so, in honor of Holy Roller who continues to just show up and modify as he can in his rehabilitation of his knee replacement, we did Man Makers until time was called.
Countarama, namearama, announcements and intentions. Just a reminder for those that didn’t hear it, but we’re doing something awesome for the Western KY relief efforts – a raffle of bourbon and other prizes. Check Slack or reach out to me if you need details.
Also, let’s not forget about the awards banquet! January 28th!
Jolly Rancher / Cratchit out!
