On Sunday morning, Minnow the site Q at North Posh alerted the Garden text thread that his son Palmer had to have emergency surgery up in Cincinnati. Now, Palmer is a beast, but you just can’t help but feel terrible for the young kid who has already had to endure so much. I decided I wanted to dedicate this workout to him. Hoping that we would live up to his incredible toughness. We tried, but I think we fell woefully short.
First, YHC didn’t get to bed until after midnight, so, that 4:40 wake up was not easy. 2rd, it was COLD. Below 30 cold. And we haven’t even got to the workout. Also, I was the only one in the parking lot until 0526. Lucky for me, Viking and Nice & Slow pulled in at the last minute so I didn’t have to do this OMO. Which is a good thing…because I laid this out to live up to Palmer.
The back path from the parking lot to the gazebo is about a 1/2 mile out and back. The front hill clocks in just shy of that at .4miles.
The Thang: Palmer workout
Plank Jacks x 50 IC
Aiken Legs – 20 squats, 20 box jumps, 20 lunges (each leg)
curL to Press x 20
Merkins x 50
dErkins x 30
kRackens x 20
Something to be said for leaving the Krakens for the end. Not sure it looked good on paper, definitely didn’t work well after running nearly 3 miles.
We lifted up Palmer and Minnow’s family. For a full and speedy recovery. We also continue to lift up our friend Husky in hopes that he recovers fully and quickly. Lots to be thankful for this holiday season.
I pray that each of you have a very safe and happy holiday season.
Merry Christmas brothers, to you and your family’s.
