I’ll start with the obvious…it was freaking cold this morning (2 degrees wind chill). However, Viking saved the day with a text yesterday reminding me about the parking garage at PV which we used this morning to at least block some of the wind and it allowed for dry ground. It was still cold af. It looked like it was going to be just Viking and me, but Big Bird slid in right at 0530 so we had a triumvirate (yea, you are likely going to need to look that one up). There is so much awesome about F3 and you never know what each workout is going to bring. I love have big groups at times, but it was pretty bada$$ to workout in the freezing cold in a parking lot with just 3 of us this morning. Solid mumblechatter, some good miles on the run, and enough tempo to stay warm-ish.
Here is what we did:Disclaimer given and we set out on a mosey to the parking garage and up to the third level for COP – SSH, Grass Grabbers, Kendra Newmans / Michael Phelps, Copperhead Squats.
Level 3 of the parking garage was home base for the Main Thang which was a modification of Dora Sets with one PAX doing exercises and the other 2 ran together to the base of the garage and back up to level 3. Instead of completing total reps of an exercise, we completed total sets of several exercises. 10 Burpees, 20 4ct American Hammers, 10 T-Merkins, 20 4ct Flutter Kicks (Viking modified the hammers and flutter kicks to 24 reps). As a kicker, when the runners returned we all completed the rest of the set together before alternating. The goal was 10 sets total which we reached together because we are all extremely awesome.
We headed back to the starting point and ended at 0616…extra time worked again because we are awesome.
We triangled up for COT – CoR, NoR, Announcements, Intentions, Prayer.
P.S. Then we did 25 merkins in the snow (did I mention that Viking, Big Bird and Dauber are some awesome dudes?)
