That was some serious hill work this morning. Shout out to the 5 PAX who joined me and covered a 5k or more on the hills of North Posh. 6 total PAX – Nice & Slow, Bacon, Mr Roper, Backflop, Meter Maid, Dauber (Q).
We started with 5 at the Silo. After a quick disclaimer we headed down the path on a mosey past the pavilion and up to the parking lot for COP. There was a car parked next to the cone I set up earlier and when we arrived, Nice & Slow was waiting. He said he saw our headlamps but I am assuming he drove around NP looking for a cone. COP was standard stuff – SSH, Grass Grabbers, Kendra Newmans / Michael Phelps, Downward Dog.
The Main Thang was a workout I love (Burpee Elevens) and I thought it would be good to extend the run a bit so we used what turned out to be the North Posh half pipe. We did 11s with station #1 at the parking lot and station #2 way up the hill running away from the silo. Every time we passed the Coppiced Woods Trailhead lot we stopped for 5 Burpees. We split into groups of 2 ensuring at least one PAX per group had a light/reflectors. Exercises were BBSUs and Jump Squats.
Backflop and Nice & Slow were in the lead group and Bf even pulled away a bit (beast), but the rest of us still could not run down Nice & Slow. As I said up front, this was a lot of running and we didn’t get anywhere near the full set of 11s before Meter was warning me of time. We did make time for a quick set of BBSUs for Mary before we wrapped up and bolted back up the path to the flag for COT – CoR, NoR, Announcements, Intentions, Prayer.
