Will keep this one short and sweet. Decided today that it would be leg day – why? I don’t really know. But, it felt good and I think the PAX also enjoyed it. So, I call that a win.
PAX:
- Backflop
- Cochran
- Bulletin (R)
- Patty
- Honey Do
- Sputnik
- Single Source
- Flip Flop
- Jolly Rancher (Q)
Time was called, disclaimers provided and we got to work near the flag for COP, which included the following:
- SSH – 20x
- Downward Dog + Runners Stretches
- Grass Grabbers – 10x
- Toy Soldiers – 10x
- Imperial Walkers – 20x
The Thang – The Sheldon Cooper:
We set out for a mosey back to the concession stand and made that home base. I then introduced to the PAX the set, which was the Sheldon Cooper except because it was leg day I took the liberties of replacing the normal / traditional exercises with my own.
They included:
- Monkey Humpers
- Groiners
- Plank Jacks
- Jump Squats
The objective was to do 20x reps of each of the four exercises above and then do a lap around the ball field. Then, come back and do 19x reps of each of the four exercises above and then do a lap around the ball field. Rinse and repeat reducing the reps by one each lap.
Most got through 5 or 6 laps, but I think Backflop and Cochran made it halfway through because they’re part robot. At one point, Backflop confirmed that he loves this stuff – like we didn’t know that already.
Time was getting close so we set out back to the flag and ended with a few leg stretches to begin the healing process.
COT:
Countarama, namearama, announcements and intentions. Monthly ruck on January 22 and awards banquet on January 28. Hope to see everyone there.
It was good to meet Patty, who was a new FNG yesterday at The Patriot. Two days in a row to kickstart his efforts – strong work, brother. Keep it up.
It was also good to see Flip Flop post at a non-Abyss AO for the first time since June 10, 2020. Was beginning to think he only works out in the dark.
Always a pleasure to lead.
Jolly Rancher out!
