BackBlast – The Bridge at the Posh 2.23.22

Shout out to Big Bird for the reminder… Little things matter.

It reminded me of the commencement speech at UT by Admiral William McRaven. If you haven’t heard the speech, I urge you to give it a listen. It is incredible. And Bird’s reminder about the little things, reminded me of this quote in the speech…

the fact that little things
in life matter. If you can’t do the little things right, you will never do the big things right.

I didn’t get the little things right yesterday, because I didn’t do the backblast when I should have.

So here goes…
PAX
Natty Lite
Uncle Rico
Diane Dukes
Minnow
Edward Scissorhands
Gaba Gaba (R)
Ladybird and Emma (R)
Jitterbug (R)
Jewel Q

Disclaimer was given, and I called 10 Boyos, much to the delight of Jitterbug who quickly quoted Cartman from South Park.

A pretty standard COP followed-
SSH IC
Copperhead Squats IC
Downward Dog L/R, R/L all with Caitlyn Jenners to boot.

We then set off on everyone’s favorite… the Kraken Loop. We stopped at every parking lot for Kraken Burpees 10 at the first lot, 5 at the 2nd, and kept up that rotation until the last, when I couldn’t use my arms anymore, and we stayed at 5.
We then moseyed back to the start for the real fun.

Thang 2 – Back at the meeting spot
Aiken Legs – these SUCK. 20 squats, 20 Lunges (10 each leg), 20 box jumps, and 20 Bulgarian split leg squats.
10 Manmakers
10 Thrusters
Upon completion – run the loop.

I think most got through 3-4 rounds… which caused for some wobbly legs.

Every HIM there yesterday worked hard, and got better. This group is awesome. It’s a constant reminder that there is strength in numbers… physically and mentally.

As always, it’s an honor and privilege to lead this group.

SYITG – Jewel
