A while back I reached out to Virginia Slims to see if the Q on 07/26/2022 was open because I didn’t see it on the calendar [my actual birthday]. But, unfortunately it wasn’t and I just can’t read…so, when Rip Van Winkle needed some help on 07/25/2022 I jumped at the opportunity and said it’s close enough. And, guess what?! I got a surprise that the Q opened up at Boondocks on 07/26/2022 so I get to have *TWO* birthday Qs this year!
Rolled into the fine City of LaGrange a few minutes extra so I could try to set up for the weinke. Was pleased to see some HIMs already gathering in front of the monument in the shadows of the flags.
After a quick set up and a lap around the circle for some fist bumps, time was called.

Great numbers as always at The Patriot. We did a quick mosey around the courthouse – or, should I say the construction site that is the courthouse and then stopped back at the flags for the usual Jolly Rancher fanfare:
- SSH – 41x [more on that below]
- Grass Grabbers – 10x
- Toy Soldiers – 10x
- Hillbillies – 10x
Then, we grabbed our coupons and moved to the parking lot.
Thang 1 – Modified Jack Webb:
I had some cones set up. First set was the starting line and then 3 further lines out in the distance. Goal was a simple Jack Webb style workout – with the first exercise at the starting line and the other workout at the end. Trick was the mode of transportation in between, which was:
- First cone – broad jump
- Second cone – bear crawl
- Third cone – rifle carry w/ coupon [and back]
The exercises were 1 weighted big boy and then 4 curls on the other side. And rinse and repeat increasing the reps of big boys by 1 and curls by 4 until we were complete at 10 and 40, respectively.
Thang 2 – Lt. Dan
Jolly…really? Another Jack Webb? Yep. Just keep reading.
Simple here, right? Squats for the lower count and jump lunges for the higher count. I made it about to the 5:20 round and then had to call on a few helpers on the jump lunges. So, shoutout to Focker, Patty and Valdez for helping me out so the fat man could breath.
We then set back out for the flag and ended with some Mary, which included the Manatee from our very own Yankovic who is back from some recent travels. The Patriot regulars are still trying to decide if they like these or not…
COT:
We ended with the normal countarama, namearama, announcements and intentions.
The reason I chose Jack Webb’s for today was because it has the 4:1 concept in there, which happens to be the same age I’ll turn tomorrow of 41. Small connection and I though a clever way to incorporate it.
Always humbled to lead.
Jolly Rancher out!
