04/02/2024 BackBlast The Max-Slide Rule Q

Humid and in the 60s the weather felt almost too warm for comfort to start the day. shorts and t-shirt was the standard attire for this homecoming party. I was gone for over two weeks from the gloom and wasn’t sure how my body would respond. I unfortunately had a slow start to the morning and made it to the circle of pain about five minutes late. Thankfully the old relia-Bull Charolais was there to pick up where my leadership faltered. As I joined in we finished some stretchery and quickly got to work…

Thang 1: Tabata: Each 20 sec round was a form of merkins R1 – Decline merkins, R2 – Regular merkins, R3 – Incline merkins, rinse and repeat starting with decline merkins until completion of all tabata rounds. Eye of the tiger was the song selection. Did an AYG sprint for about 50 yards in transit to coupons

Thang 2: Jack Webb: #1 started at the top with 10 manmakers and 40 mountain climbers (counted 10 IC) dropped one of each until there was 1 manmaker and 1 mountain climber IC. Sprinkled in mosey every few rounds by gauging condition of the pax; #2 did 10 overhead press and 20 bicep curls dropping manmakers by 1 and bicep curls by 2. Did a mosey inbetween and at end. TIME WAS CALLED.

This work out frankly smoked me. I was feeling rough with the sandbag after the initial 10 manmakers. It is in adversity like that where it helps me to have men that are pushing their limits as well. Really glad to see Banana Bread out there as he continues to get his body back right after months of health issues.

COT: Announced Convergence at Patriot on April 20th. Lifted up Sadie, Shuttlecock, and Banana Bread. Lifted up my Fiance Peachy and I. Thanked the good lord for the day we had and the pursuit within each man there for the best version of themselves. Cheers! -Slide Rule
