BACKBLAST: Crazy 8’s #RUINER at the O – 11/18/17

QIC:  Red Roof & Mayberry (Tag team back again, check it, direct it, let’s begin…)

PAX:  (15) Sully, Pope, Backdraft, Scratch, Mayberry, Mittens, Vincent, Red Roof, Bean Counter, Glenn Ross, Watergate (FNG – Double Respect), Cardinal, Wham!, Loco, Gillispie

The theme of the day was the #8.  This was fitting because it was “leg day” and this #8 has some wheels (and a penchant for fumbling against BBN, which we all hope he remedies this coming weekend)

Mosey the long way to the tennis courts where we lined up on the base line to warm up with some quick sprints that covered a lot of yards (in honor of #8):

#1: Sprint up / Backwards Jog Back, #2: Karaoke Up / Karaoke Back, #3: Mario’s Up / Jog back, #4: Butt Kickers Up / Jog back, #5: Bear Crawl Up (at least half of it) / Jog back

COP:

SSH (8), Squats (8), Don Quixote (8), Monkey Humpers (8), Merkins (8), Plank Jacks (8), Carolina Dry Docks (8), Freddy Mercury (8).  That’s 8 exercises, count’em.

The Thang #1: 

Mosey through the top secret cut through into the cul-de-sac hill.  YHC wanted to work the half pipe but I thought it would be a mess of mud so just recreated it on the concrete (hope you don’t mind).  The idea was to do 8 Merkins at each top side and recreate the COP at the bottom with all 8 exercises.  I believe we got through 7 of them and skipped the Freddy Mercury rep.  We were doing lot’s of Mary at the top waiting on the PAX anyway.

Pass the mic to Mayberry…

The Thang #2:

Run to the field, pick up coupons, line it up:

24 (multiple of 8!) toe touches on the coupon, carry the coupon down the field, 24 (multiple of 8!) weighted squats, carry the coupon back.

24 thrusters with the coupon, carry the coupon down the field, 24 weighted squats, carry the coupon back.

24 curls with the coupon, carry the coupon down the field, 24 weighted squats, carry the coupon back.

The Thang #3:

Half of Pax: 24 (multiple of 8!) step ups in front of the bathrooms

Other Half: Wall Squats

Switch, rinse, and repeat.

Thang #4:

Jack Webb: 1 squat / 4 jump lunges, 2 squats / 8 jump lunges….all the way to 10 squats / 40 jump lunges.

COT:  Welcome FNG Watergate (double respect), father-in-law of Glenn Ross.  A few of the pax went to St. John Center for Second F after the workout.  Prayers of thanks to the Sky Q.
