2/2/2018 BackBlast at The Mutt- the 3 Amigos

Q’s- Digiorno and Glen Ross, Pax (3) Grinder

Before going into the BackBlast I want to mention and give a special shout-out to Grinder who is back working out.  He also lives in Jeff Indina, and has a 20 minute drive to to the Mutt- respect for getting up earlier than most of us and getting out in this freezing cold weather

Conditions: 17 feels like 7

Gear:  lots of layers, and I have been wearing the plastic gloves under my regular gloves and this has kept the hands/ fingers warm all week.  Also, I ordered a new workout T- can’t wait to wear it for my next Q but just too damn cold to break it out today.  3C50E05F-B159-4052-959E-EC6E59BD00FD.jpeg

So Digiorno and I originally started talking about this on Wednesday after talking with Cardinal and trying to set up an opportunity to give the guys who posted Mon/ Tues/ Wed/ Thurs/ a chance to make it 5 in a row.  But by Thursday afternoon I was 50/50 but D convinced me to do it, so we agreed to co- Q

D took the first 25, and I closed.  After disclaimer- it’s was just us 3, we did a quick lap around the school and circled up for warmup

In the spirit of Groundhog Day, Digiorno has planned accordingly- with repeato being a constant over the nex 20 minutes.

In 4 corners do the following:

corners 1 & 3:

20 Merkins/ 10 BOYOs/ 20 Ranger Merkins/ 20 Booyah Merkins

corners 2&4:

20 Squats/ 20 super skaters/ 20 sumo squats/ 20 calf raises or baby mad cows

we did this loop twice, and the booyah merkins had my arms smoked- looked like D wanted to do another loop, when he passed over to me.

With Grinder back to the Mutt, I thought I would take him over to Zoos honeyhole for some dips and derkins/ we did 20/ 20 (Barbara Walters) and made our way over to the front of the school for another set.

Afrer this, we made our way to coupon corner for something i’ve been wanting to try.  I got part of the idea from Zoos q 2 weeks ago and decided to add something else.  With no name, we went with SpringBreak Webbs

Using the coupon for your feet- we did big boy sit ups/ LBCs.  We did make it up to 10/40, which is 55 big boys and 220 lbcs.

We ended with some Gas Pumps/ American Hammers/ Freddie Mercuries

COT: it took us 45 minutes to realize that all 3 of us had same name- thus the three amigo pic.  Smaller workouts are fun- and nice way to get to know some of the guys you might not know so well.  Intentions for all those that are sick or have family members battling illness.  Gave thanks for life’s blessings and the also for our Ms and their support.  Prayed for strength in everything that we do.
