PAX: Gru, Boozer, Peekaboo, Little Smoky, Rhythm, Methane, Swifty, Grave Digger, Gypsy, Pew Pew, Bob Ross, Mr. Hat, PK (Q), Abacus.

Started the day on a with a positive attitude.  Since starting F3, have been hesitant to sign up for my own Q’s however when a brother is in need, I have been more than happy to step in.  As I was putting together the weinke last night, dreading the rucking event that Zartan is going to throw down, I was concerned that we would fly threw what I had planned, so I put a bunch of options out there to fill in in case we had more time.  So with a positive attitude, I woke up (to early) and headed out to challenge the PAX.

After waking up too early, I thought I was jinxed when we started with thirteen men when I laid out my disclaimer, and we started our workout.  As we moseyed to the track by the Egg Lawn the PAX spotted a vehicle pull in and Methane came running through the Posh to join the PAX for our COP.

We did 4 warmup exercises, all in Cadence

20 SSH

20 Cherry Pickers (Grass Grabbers)

20 Finkle Swings

20 Imperial Walkers

We then got in two lines and began a double applesauce (Standard Indian Run)over to the bridge for some coupon work.

Once we had gathered under the bridge, I told all the PAX to grab a coupon, and know that we would be doing 4 exercises at a minute each for 4 sets.  Meaning we would be doing lots of reps. Saw some interesting choices in coupons, and definitely noticed myself and a few others had chosen some larger coupons than when we had started doing F3 (always – no judgement).

Once the PAX was set, I started the Ciabata in true Posh style.  Had a few PAX wondering where the strange counting and speaking calling out the workouts, as I had snuck a speaker along with us under my jacket (Bose mini speaker).

Bicep Curls

Squats

Over Head Press

Upright Rows

One minute each – rinse and repeat for a total of 4 circuits.

I then informed the group that we needed to head back to the playground.  Since it was such a nice trip the first time, I decided that we should double applesauce it the way back, and take the long way. Believe it or not, I do not enjoy running. It is amazing the extra energy that being Q gives you, as I definitely would not have made it at the pace that we had been doing last year.

Once we had made it back to the playground, I ran through the circuits that I had set up.  I had paper signs that I had intended to lay out, however decided against it with the rain and water on the ground.  Did not want to tarnish the Posh.  Then is where I made my rookie mistake as I took to long to explain the circuits, and did not factor that into my plan the night before. I rushed the PAX through laying out the eight stations:

  1. Laying Down Rope Pull-Ups at the Rope Pyramid
  2. Donkey Kicks
  3. Bear Crawls
  4. Standard Pull Ups
  5. Apollo Ono’s
  6. Frog Jumps
  7. Dips
  8. Bobby Hurleys

Intention was to get through the circuit two times with a minute at each station. We paired up, set up the speaker to announce when to switch, and playtime began.  Experienced a slight technical difficulty with the speaker, however I do not believe that the PAX noticed.  Learned more for my next Q.  We were getting into the the final two exercises, when I checked my watch and saw that we were out of time.  So I informed the PAX to circle up.

We completed the day with name-o-rama, and announcements.  Methane was the six and we all learned that his name was not sourced from what I had thought.  I learned that it had not been his “Methane” all the time (everyone learned that I have been blaming some of those odors on him for a while).  We discussed the upcoming F3 Dads event, then circled up for intentions and offer up prayers to the sky Q.  Gave thanks and intentions to all those who have passed and the people that they have left behind.  Gave thanks for the group that we had in the gloom this morning, and those that could not make it out.  As we get through anything together, and get better together.

Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to lead, and try and challenge everyone to get better.  Glad that all HIMs rose to the challenge this morning, and get ready to crush the rest of the day.
