Sometimes–things just go as planned. Sometimes it’s not your fault. But, sometimes it is. Tuesday at Bag of Wrenches was of the latter. Had a plan; had some toys packed; drove wrong car; had no toys; then had no plan; felt dumb; blamed CI even though he wasn’t there; but, no panic. Yelled OMAHA into the Gloom, slapped Mad Cow to get pumped, and called a nice audible. Here’s what we did:
Moseyed over to Christian Academy for COP, which consisted of:
Split Jacks (20 IC)
SSHs (20 IC)
Groiners (10 IC)
Copperhead Squats (20 IC)
PAX partnered up. Partner 1 AMRAP Chest to Curb Merkins, while Partner 2 ran length of LCA parking lot for 10 LBCs before running back. Partners then switched spots. PAX performed 2 rounds of this work.
Same partners. Partner 1 would do 15 big boy set ups while Partner 2 held partner’s feet in plank position. Switch. And then it was another round of 15 big boy set ups and partner planks, and then a round of 25 big boy set ups and partner planks. So, PAX did 55 big boy set ups while supersetting planks.
PAX then ran over to the tennis courts.
PAX broke into two lines for an Indian Bear Crawl. With lines of 8 and 9, the planking was in full force. Very little mumblechatter during this one.
PAX stayed in two groups. Group 1 ran from tennis courts short end around the track Indian run style. Group 2 stayed on the courts for 10 burpees, run full length of the courts for 10 squats, and then back for more burpees until relieved by return of Group 1. Groups then switched spots.
T Merkins (10)
Rosalitas (20 IC)
American Hammers (20 IC)
PAX welcomed FNG Dewey, who evidently works with those beasts known as Catfish & Milton, so I suspect he’s going to do just fine. I confessed we did lots of core work because I so badly failed Vincent’s plank challenge at The Ruiner. Announcements were then made, intentions were given, and I thanked the Sky Q for the PAX and the blessings we’ve been given. As always, thank you for the opportunity to be a part of THIS.
