I’ve posted at Pleasantville a couple times this fall & only exposed to the loop. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great loop due to distance, carrying inclines, light posts (that are on), benches, etc. But when I’ve thought of Pleasantville I’ve always thought of the amphitheater so for my Q we were going to use it. On Wednesday afternoon I went to scout out the area to come up with my weinke…hopefully I didn’t disappoint.

I gave the PAX the disclaimer & we were off on a mosey away from the loop on the paved path down to the left side of the amphitheater. We circled up at a plateau by the water…it was very majestic.

With the blood flowing we moseyed over to a nice little hill I found down the paved path alongside the pond for Thang 1.
Thang 1: 11’s
- (1) Mountain Climber Merkin
- run to top of the hill
- (10) Burpees
- run to bottom of the hill
- (2) Mountain Climber Merkins
- run to top of the hill
- (9) Burpees
- run to bottom of the hill
- continue until do (10) Mountain Climber Merkins at the bottom of the hill & (1) Burpee at the top of the hill
- Early finishers did the following AMRAP until all PAX completed the Thang:
- (10) Windshield Wipers
- (10) Forward Leg Raises
- (10) J-Lows
After the PAX completed Thang 1 we moseyed over to amphitheater for Thang 2.
Thang 2
Split into 2 groups with each group using alternating rows on opposite sides of the amphitheater to provide sufficient space for movement.
Row 1: (10) Burpee Box Jumps
- Go up two rows
- Lunge Walk to middle of row, mosey back
- Bear Crawl to end of row, mosey back
Row 2: (20) Seated Box Squat Jumps
- Go up two rows
- Karaoke to middle of row, mosey back
- Sprint to end of row, mosey back
Step 3: (30) Derkins
- Go up two rows
- Lunge Walk to middle of row, mosey back
- Bear Crawl to end of row, mosey back
Step 4: (40) Dips
- Go up two rows
- Karaoke to middle of row, mosey back
- Sprint to end of row, mosey back
The goal was to do 2 Rounds of this circuit or as much as possible within a certain time frame…we stopped at 0610 & circled up on the stage for some Mary.

- Catfish & Dunphy are co-Qing a Burpee Challenge on Christmas Eve in which they will donate $0.10 for every Burpee to a cause to raise awareness for veterans who suffer from PTSD.

I thanked these HIMs for coming out this morning & the opportunity to lead them for 45 minutes of their day. I asked the Sky Q to give us the strength & courage to be the men we need to be in our homes/community. As always any time I Q it’s a humbling experience.
