Back in the Saddle 2.18.19 BB for The Incubator

Following my VQ on 3.19.18, I posted 132 times the remainder of the year & 17% of the time I was the Q again. For me getting to Q isn’t just designing a WO & instructing the PAX what to do. Qing is the opportunity to lead a group of men (whether it be 3 or 30) in the pursuit of helping each one of them get better…in some way. Personally I don’t think to be the Q is about the Q at all, but instead, each individual PAX member who makes the decision to find their way ITG entrusting you will deliver. For some, this kind of pressure or responsibility is too far out of their comfort zone to consistently indulge. Others (like myself) tend to THRIVE in this zone because they don’t see Qing as a challenge per se, but more of an opportunity. I genuinely believe this is why you see some PAX members Q at much higher rate than others.

So going into today I’d had the Q in 0% of my posts in 2019. Starting 4 weeks ago I’ve had to travel every week for work leaving on a Monday evening & not returning until Thursday evening. Between training for the StarCourse on Saturdays & trying to be present as a husband/father it’s made just posting difficult…let alone Q. It’s true, you really don’t know how much you appreciate/enjoy something until you’re unable to do it.

I gave the disclaimer letting the PAX know I wasn’t a professional, that I’ve had no training, everything I say to do is a suggestion, & to modify as needed. With that, we were off on a quick mosey around the circle parking lot & basically back to where we started for COP.

I took it to the SkyQ thanking him for another day & the opportunity to lead these HIMs for 45 of minutes of their day. I asked that these 45 minutes be the hardest part of our day…our week & that the SkyQ give is the strength/courage to be the men needed in our homes along with our community.

I’ll finish up with this work assignment right before the StarCourse & will then be able to post like I was prior. Only 39 more days, but who’s counting?

Nino out.
