Backblast – The Chopper @ The Vet – Twister and Trumpeting!

I am not sure why, but it seems every time I have posted at The Vet recently it rains. It rained last Friday and low & behold it was raining this morning. Gepetto asked me on the ride over if I had a contingency plan for the rain to which I responded no. He then told me I still had 5 minutes to figure it out. Thanks for the support Gepetto but I knew a little rain wouldn’t hold these knuckleheads back! I did warm up under cover where I was told some of my stretches resembled a game of twister. While we were playing twister, I mean stretching, Meatball was playing us a slow toon on his trumpet. I had no idea that Meatball could play the trumpet, especially at such a slow drawn out pace, but amazingly he was able to play it while he was stretching. Anyway, we had a GREAT group of HIM’s this morning which is normal for The Vet.  However, we missed Kilo and Bushhhh but they may have been riding together and had car trouble. None of us are really sure, but those of us that were there got wet and got better!

Pax: McAfee, Meatball, Weed Wacker, Drysdale, Gepetto, Digiorno, Huggies, Snow Day

COP: Grass Grabbers, Mountain Climbers, Quad Stretch, Downward Dog, Runners Stretch (Twister), Imperial Walkers.

Thang 1: 11’sThe Pax moseyed to the coupons, grabbed a coupon, and made our way to the parking lot. We started at the bottom of the parking lot with 10 Man Makers then ran to the top for 1 squat. Then back to the bottom for 9 Man Makers and 2 squats at the top. Rinse and repeat until we did 1 Man Maker at the bottom and 10 squats at the top.

Thang 2: The Pax moseyed to the concrete bleachers by the bottom ball field. Partner up; Partner 1 box jumps to the top and back down while partner 2 does bench dips. Rinse and repeat until both partners complete 3 rounds of each exercise.

Thang 3: The Pax moseyed to the bridge over the creek and completed 10 decline Merkins.

Thang 4: BLIMPS – The Pax moseyed on the walking path through the park to the bottom of the hill by the Chopper. We started at the bottom with 5 Burpees, ran to the top of the hill for 10 Lunges, back to the bottom for 15 Imperial Walkers, back to the top for 20 Merkins, back to the bottom for 25 Plank Jacks, & finished at the top with 30 Squats.

Thang 5: Ace & Gary’s – It wouldn’t be a Mutt led Q if I didn’t mix in a few Ace & Gary’s. Thanks to Zoolander for this great exercise. Partner 1 planks while holding his partners’ feet who does 10 Big Boy Sit Ups. Then the partner’s switch.

COT: Announcements were made about the Passion Ruck tonight starting at 8 pm at The County. Tomorrow morning there is a ruck starting at 5:30 AM at The O and the Convergence begins at 7 am. Please park for both events near the basketball courts at The O. Please try to make it out tomorrow morning for The Convergence. We will have several guests there and a lot of people have worked very hard to make this a great event. As always, thanks to all who braved the weather with me this morning! Backdraft out.
