5/25/19 Ruiner Backblast

Because I’m consistent and I try to never disappoint the Pax, I’m posting this BB a solid 168 hrs late….you’re welcome.

Pax: Face (Q), DiGiorno, Tammy Faye Baker, Pope, Nugget, Liberace

Conditions: 75 degrees, 196.5% humidity…moist.

Gear: surfing Mickey tank, under armor shorts, day glow Newbies, a healthy amount of gas thanks to Mojito’s pork tacos the night before.

There’s nothing better than waking up at 3:30am and being unable to get back to sleep the morning of your first Q in over 6 months.  Giddeyup.

We mosey’d to the basketball courts to start the show.

  • 20 SSH IC
  • 2 burpees
  • 20 Imperial Walkers IC
  • 4 burpees

  • Go around the circle, each pax call out an exercise- 10 reps IC.  Repeato.

We then mosey’d back to the flag the long way.  There were no announcements so we brought it in for intentions where we remembered the real reason for Memorial Day and I gave thanks to the Pax for reminding me of exactly how much I need this group.  Big shouts out to Tammy Faye and Nugget for coming out 6 hrs after they completed the Ruck…those two are beasts.  And speaking of beasts….it was one year ago that Pope had his chest opened up for a procedure that would have sidelined the normal man for good….but normal Pope is not.  The man is amazing and I couldn’t have been happier that he came out that morning.
