We’ve been running a BlackOps at St. Patrick’s for about 3 months now & it really is an awesome site. There’s a long, consistent, steep hill in the front with a huge parking lot up top & an even longer, multi-grade, hill in the back with an even bigger parking lot. There are two playgrounds for pull-ups, picnic tables, & a couple of stair cases with platforms…my plan for today was to use EVERYTHING. No fluff, let’s get into what we did.
PAX:
- Nice & Slow
- Husky
- Tony Malito
- Catfish
- Lady Bird (R)
- Frosted Tips
- Chappo
- Fructose
- Snow Day
- Uncle Rico
- Huggies
- Nino (QIC)
I gave the disclaimer informing the PAX I am not a professional, I’ve received no professional training, & everything I say is a suggestion so please modify as needed. With the formalities out of the way we moseyed about 25 yards & circled up for COP which was brief because I was ready to get after it.

I then began explaining The Thang as we walked over to Station 1.
The Thang: 7 Stations of Suffering
I informed the PAX there were 7 Stations of Suffering around the church/school making a lap. Each Station had a sign with an exercise & correlating number of reps to perform before advancing to the next Station. In addition, each sign had instruction how to advance to the next Station…
Station 1
- (20) Coupon Curl into Shoulder Presses
- Prison Run to Station 2
Station 2
- (10) Build-A-Bears
- 1-5 were one parking space apart while 6-10 were two parking spaces apart
- Run to Station 3
Station 3
- (10) Pull-Ups or (20) Pull-Ins
- Run to Station 4
Station 4
- (10) Lunge-Lunge-Squats
- Bear Crawl from cone-to-cone & then run to Station 5
Station 5
- (15) Man Makers
- Run to Station 6
Station 6
- (20) Box Jumps
- Run to Station 7
Station 7
- (20) Merkin-Derkins
- Run 1st half & Bernie Sanders 2nd half back to Station 1
Upon return to Station 1 the PAX we advised to rinse & repeat as many times as they could until time was called. I’m pretty sure all of the PAX only got through about 1 1/2 laps…except for Catfish who got all the way through 2 & was starting his 3rd lap when I called time (an absolute animal).
This was the first time we’d used coupons at St. Patrick’s & they were pretty divided into two groups about 300 yards a part so I called time at 0605 to begin putting them up. We got back to the flag at 0610 & circled up for some Mary.

I thanked the PAX for coming out this morning & we closed it out with an Our Father. It’s always a humbling experience & a privilege to Q the PAX of F3Louisville.
