Back-Blast – Vincent Q “The TANK”

It was a crisp 35 degrees out and the typical Veteran’s Park wind was blowing in from the West.  It wasn’t as bad as some days so it was not going to take long to warm up.  Gearlander – Black tights, Grey Asics running shorts. F3 mudgear short sleeves under an Asics running shirt.

14 HIM’s including one FNG made it out into the gloom this morning.  Weed Wacker’s son Kaden came out and ran circles around the PAX.  Oh to be young again………

COP – SSH’s, Smurf Jacks, Grass Grabbers, Downward Dog calf stretch, runners stretch and cobra.  We took off from the monument and ran the trail down to the old lot where things first started at the Vet – before the Vet was complete.  We circled up for a Merkin waterfall and ran down from 10 to 1.  That’s a lot of planking when you have 14 HIM’s in the mix.

Thang 2 was the biggie.  We moseyed up to the large lighted lot for a 4 corner escalator.

10 burpees at the first corner then run a lap.  Second time around, 10 burpees at corner one, 10 burpees and 15 dry docks at corner 2  then run the balance of the lap.  Third time around – repeat corners one and two adding corner 3 which was 10 burpees, 15 dry docks and 20 imperial squat walkers.  The last lap repeated 1-3 and at the last corner we added 25 Bonny Blair lunges to the burpees, dry docks and Imp squat walkers to reach the top of the escalator.  This was a  tough circuit – Woof!!

We ran to the padded play ground for Mary then on to the flag for count, names and COT. Prayers for PK’s father in law, Larry and for Meatball.   Until next time SYITG.  Vincent.
