For the New Years Day workout I asked Dauber if we could move the start time back to 7 and go for an hour. I wanted to work hard for about half the time and get some burpee football in the other half. He graciously obliged but our relationship has gone down hill since then.
With that said I wanted to use our time efficiently so I got there early and grabbed some coupons and started carrying them to the playground. Hush Puppy (FNG) got there a bit early and helped me out as well. Then Leprechan and Backflop grabbed a few more to make sure we had enough. True HIMs. We had 12 coupons for 11 PAX at the start so pretty good guestimate. We started COP and about that time one more car arrived-Crockpot. A perfect number! 2020 is going to be awesome.

Then we got to the Thang. Using coupons we did some Tabata-8 rounds of each exercise 20 seconds on and 10 off.

Manmakers (Big bug said CrossFit calls them Devils Press and I’m not one to argue with Big Bug but told him when he starts paying us CrossFit fees he can name the exercises).
Lots of great mumbled chatter during this ranging from I hate you Pelican to you guys can’t throw a football with fresh arms to Snoop is straight trash. There was some more good stuff discussed but you don’t get it all unless you make it out.
From there we went to the green space and played burpee football. Not long after the game started we lost our FNG who had to go splash some merlot. Crockpot went to check on him so our teams stayed even. Both PAX made it back to the game to close it out. We named the FNG, said some announcements and ended in prayer. I wanted to thank the PAX for making 2019 a great year. With this group your lows aren’t as low and your highs are higher. Here’s to a great start to 2020.
