There had been talk of starting a black ops (and soon to be a permanent AO) in Indiana since the beginning of 2020 with a start date in early April. We all know what happened instead. Once the restrictions started to let up and we started to get more comfortable with getting out in the gloom the conversations restarted. I had my eye on Chapel Lake Park for some time as a possible site for the BO. It was a recently constructed park near a few large subdivisions. It has plenty of trails, hills and a pavilion for those rainy mornings. Perfect.
Of course I could hardly sleep the night before in anticipation. Laying in bed, the dreadful thought crossed my mind that the park may be locked at night. I knew in my mind that there wasn’t a gate because I had checked out the site a few times but I couldn’t get the thought out of my brain. Luckily there was no gate.
I got to the park early and took in the sights and smells. I came face to face with a raccoon that probably had never seen anyone at the park at the God-awful hour before. He better get used to us.
THE WORKOUT

I started with a small warm up to try and get the blood moving: mosey, bernie sanders, karaoke, Marios, and a short sprint
THANG 1: Thunderstruck- Hold plank during the song Thunderstruck by AC/DC. I figured this was a great way to get this site started.
THANG 2: Captain Thor- 1:4 ratio of a Big Boy Sit-up and American Hammers up to 10:40
THANG 3: Jack Webb- 1:4 ratio of merkins and air presses up to 10:40
THANG 4: Native American run around the pond
THANG 5: Lt. Dan- 1:4 ration of squats and lunges up to 10:40
