So…for the past couple of years we’ve done a Spring Convergence around April 22nd in celebration of the establishment of F3Louisville & a Fall Convergence around the end of the October. Obviously a Convergence in April was not an option in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic so the event was pushed to July. The hope was the pandemic conditions would be vastly improved, which there for a while they seemed to be…up until the last few weeks as cases started to spike culminating in the first PAX member in the Region testing positive for the virus this week. Our TaPs go out to the PAX member & his family for a full & timely recovery.
Despite the news we will proceed with Convergence on Saturday the 18th. Why? Since reopening the gloom each & every PAX to post should have been informed by the Q they were choosing to post knowing they were doing so at their own risk in the midst of the health pandemic. This event will be no different…the Station Qs & myself will do everything we can to keep every PAX in attendance safe with appropriate distancing (a minimum of 6’ feet) throughout the WO. Doing this means PAX in attendance will not be required to wear a mask, but if wearing one provides you with the slightest bit of peace of mind I strongly encourage you to wear one.
Here are the details for Convergence:
- When: Saturday July 18th 0700 – 0800
- Where: The O (specifically the basketball courts as seen in picture below)
- What: A 1 hour WO with PAX from all across the Louisville Region
- Why: For our Brotherhood & to celebrate the 2020 Iron Horse participants (yeah, that happened this year)
There will be coffeteria in a tailgating fashion to follow for those interested, but beverages & food will NOT be provided to avoid PAX members congregating in one place around a table. If you’d like to participate in some coffeteria we ask you to please bring your own beverage or food. I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.
