Back Blast – Silo at North Posh – 03/01/2021

Monday is always hard to beat the fart sack. But, when you are done with the workout there’s not a better feeling knowing that you’ve started your week off on the right foot. So next time, don’t let Monday beat you. Get up and get better!

At 0530am, time was called. Disclaimers given. Wind was a bit chilly at the top of the North Posh mountain.

PAX:

  • Bacon
  • Wildflower
  • Viking
  • Jimmy Neutron
  • Motor Boat
  • Minnow
  • Jolly Rancher (Q)

COP:

We circled up next to the pavilion and flag for a little warm-up, which surprisingly only two days later I’ve already forgotten what we did. I know we did 10X SSH and then another exercise, then 10X SSH and then another exercise, etc. I also know that I almost forgot to start my workout on my iWatch so I almost made the PAX start over. But, I didn’t want to deflect my error on them. I’m sure whatever we did was awesome, muscles got loose and we got warmed-up.

The Thang – 21s:

I told the PAX I was lacking creativity for this workout. So, we’d keep it simple. We moved over to the main street and started this one which was Merkins at the top of the hill, mosey down towards Shelbyville Road – stopping at the about the halfway point for 5x Big Boy Situps, then down to the bottom of the hill [not all the way to Shelbyville Road for safety reasons] for the other exercise which was Jump Squats. And then on the way back up the hill, hit the same 5x Big Boy Situps.

This sucked a bit more than expected. Jimmy Neutron and Wildflower had a blistering pace – probably lapped me when I was still on the third set. T-claps to Minnow for being a great host and Site Q to keep the six motivated [which was me]. Bacon wasn’t far behind the first two – perhaps he was afraid I’d try to eat him…? Viking and Motor Boat were smashed in the middle for a while and when Motor Boat lapped me we had a few laps together for some good mumblechatter. Appreciate the push, brother.

Time was getting close so we had to cut this one short – I think most PAX made it about half way through.

Mary:

For Mary, we did a Merkin Waterfall…10x Merkins all the way around the circle, then 9x Merkins, then 8x Merkins, etc. Time was called short at about half way through.

COT:

Countarama, namearama, announcements and intentions.

Appreciated the PAX joining me on Monday. Always humbled to have a group of guys listen to me and follow me around and do stupid stuff together.

Jolly Rancher out!
