Long overdue 3.20.21 Back Blast for the Hurt at The Mutt

Weather: Nice, high 30’s. No Wind.

Pax: Blueprint, Tureen, Pope, Old Bay, Windshield, Wham, Flair (R), Aerobie (R), Ronnie Beaver, Peeping Tom, Glen Ross, Sump Pump, Fridge, Nan Moore

Q: Stick Up

The morning started with a nice EC ruck. YHC does not know St. Matthews well and let Frosty/Sump Pump lead the way. With about 8 minutes before the WO started it was pointed out we were heading in the wrong direction. Time to move. We hustled our way back to the AO and were able to get our rucks put up at the clock struck 0700. Time for the disclaimer, keep distance, verbal AYE. Lets mosey.

COP: Took a mosey around the building, scooped up some coupons and circled up in the parking lot at the top of the stairs. Pretty standard Stick Up COP. SSH, Grass Grabbers, Imperial Walkers, Toy Soldiers, Downward Dog, Runners Stretch, Pigeon Stretch, Kendra Newmans. Now lets line up along the building and face across the shiny, smooth, flat, divot-less, soft blacktop. We are about to make this thing look mean!!! (please send all repair bills to Holy Trinity Attn: Old Bay).

THANG: The idea is to do As Many Rounds As Possible in the time given. Each round was 10 minutes of work as follows:

Round 1: 15 Merkins –> 15 Skull Crushers (or shoulder press since the mutters dont listen) –> 15 4ct Gas Pumps. Bear crawl with coupon across the lot, crawl bear with coupon back. That was nice. Lets run a lap around the school.

Round 2: 15 Bent over rows –> 15 Curls –> 15 leg lifts. Murder bunny across the lot, reverse murder bunny back (shall these be referred to as bunny murders??). After the first to reps, the PAX got into a nice rhythm with these. Lets take another lap.

Round 3: 15 weighted squats–> 15 Coupon Jump Overs –> 14 4ct Flutter kicks. Walking pull throughs across and back. These are done similar to a pull through merkin. Pull the block through, plank walk over the top of it and continue until the end. ROUGH. Lets Run.

Round 4: 15 Should Press–> 15 Alpos –> 15 4ct Hello Dollys. Weighted lunge walk across and back. Time was called with less than a minute to spare. We returned our coupons and circled near the flags.

It was an honor to lead the Mutters on this fine morning. Lots of great laughs and mumble chatter as always. Thanks for having me out Gents!
