It was a damp but mild morning…still pretty muggy. I arrived and stepped onto the b-ball court right at 0500. Gathered the PAX (Uncle Sam (R), F-Stop, Kitty Litter, Mr. Hat, Flip Flop (Q)) for COP. We began with SSH-25, Arm Circles into Michael Phelps, Toy Soldiers-10, Grass Grabbers-10, Merkins-10, Downward Dog Stretches, Mtn Climbers-15
Thang 1: Run the loop (1.75 miles) with various stops along the way…5 total stops. Each stop included 25 Merkins, 25 Copperhead Squats and 25 Big Boys
Thang 2: Grabbed our coupons and did 25 Curls, 25 Overhead Press, 25 Kettle Swings, 20 Coupon Squats and 25 Bench Press.
This left about 90 seconds for a couple of core exercises: Gas Pumps-15, 4-count flutter kicks-20. That was time. We gathered at the flags for announcements that included the various fundraisers for Afghanistan, Iron Pax Week 0 and proceeded to intentions. We discussed the state of our country and how divided it is, the continued spread of COVID and how it impacts our teachers, bus drivers and, most importantly, our children. I prayed us out with gratitude for today and every day, for the blessing of living in this amazing country, for all our military around the globe dealing with a very messy situation, our first responders, our families and the PAX.
