1.3.23 Back Blast – The Max at Bayside

A plan was developed. PAX were ready. Everything was moving in the right direction. Then, the weather changed. We held firm in our commitment to get better. 9 HIMs showed up and put in the work.

PAX: Slugger, Charolais (R), Birdie, Shuttlecock (R) Slide Rule, Eye Booger, Ruby (R) Banana Bread, Stick Up (Q).

0530 hit and the disclaimer was given. We took a mosey around the parking lot while anticipation grew about how hard the rain was actually going to come down. “Think we are going to the portico?” “I hope we don’t bear crawl in this.” “My coupon is going to be twice as heavy with all this rain.” Once we returned to the flag we circled up of COP.

COP: 20 SSH, 10 Grass Gabbers, 10 Toy Soldiers, downward dog, Left over right, LL, right over left, RR, Michael Phelps. Once completed we picked up the coupons and headed down to the school entrance for the thang.

THANG: a ladder style beatdown was on the menu. Lets hit the full body and make it worth coming out it this garbage weather. 3 rounds of each exercise.

R1: 10 step ups x 3

R2: 10 Step Ups, 10 weighted squats x 3

R3: 10 Step ups, 10 weighted Squats, 10 KB Swings x 3

R4: 10 Step ups, 10 weighted squats, 10 KB Swings, 10 merkins x 3

R5: 10 step ups, 10 weighted squats, 10 KB Swings, 10 Merkins, 10 BO Rows x 3

R6: 10 weighted squats, 10 KB swings, 10 Merkins, 10 BO Rows x 3

In between each round PAX Bernie Sander’s to the flag and moseyed back to the entrance.

Time was called and we circled up at the flags for COT.

It was an honor to lead these men on this morning. No one had to show up but they chose to embrace what was given to us and put in the work. I’m proud to be part of this group!
