PB – Furday’s Q – Range @ Patriot (Postversary)

One year in the gloom.

Last April, Jimmy Neutron head locked me to my first F3 workout. At first I was nervous, skeptical & doubting that I could commit to something like F3. It was intimidating showing up with a bunch of strangers to workout, especially when I was so out of shape. But I’m so glad that I did.

I was immediately hooked. Many pax welcomed me along the way and over time I got more and more comfortable, eventually even taking the things as site Q for the Range. 135 posts, 9 different AOs visited, 11 Qs later, I am a much better person today than I was this time last year. Though I still have a long ways to go for my health journey, the connection I’ve made with this group, has impacted me in too many ways to count.

I’m a better man on days when I do F3. Not only for the workout, but for the intentions, connections with others, sense of community & feeling of belonging, it is much bigger than one person.

I’ve been struggled a lot with the events that happened in Louisville last week. Looking for answers, having incredibly challenging conversations with my kids, and many times it brought me back to F3. Leaning in on this group for comfort, guidance, prayer, and belonging as a reminder of good in the world. I also can’t help but think about the shooter & wonder if he would have gone through with it if he had F3 in his life.

Difficult to speculate on impossible topics, but I do believe it’s a reminder that someone out there needs F3, and we need to plant, grow and serve workout groups for the invigoration of male leadership in the community.

It’s a reminder to reach out to others whether that is F3 related or just connecting with others.

It’s a reminder that somewhere, someone is struggling and maybe we can make a difference, one pax at a time.

Come out and join me tomorrow for my postversary @ the Patriot. We’ll move around some of the usual spots & workouts. No coupons, FNG obviously welcomed.
