Ladders are for reaching the precipice, for climbing to the zenith. With each rung, every elevating step, we move closer to our goal. As I climbed the ladder into the Hawks Nest this morning, I brought with me three other men, leaving none of them where I had found them and in turn, they moved me as well. A hawk nest may be a place of rest, but this nest demanded sacrifice, lactic acid, and sweat. 4 PAX, Pastel, Crash, Vincent, and YHC fervently ascended that ladder so that we might ascertain what heights were within our grasp. We pumped, we grunted, we soared.
