Purchase GORUCK Rucker

In the words of CI

“I went with the Rucker because it’s made for rucking. Only. Now you could use it as an EDC and I have, but it has a designated purpose and does it well. I was kind of bummed with I saw the 2.0, but in a truth I like the 1.0 better. You’ll see in this video the Velcro strap that covers both pockets. That alone, my friends, makes the 1.0 worth it. Plus, the Rucker sits high on my back and never gets near my waist. This is great because it removes one more area to rub and get sore.”

Do you need to buy the best/most expensive bag available to ruck with F3louisville or do a GORUCK event?

No!

Is the GORUCK Rucker the best bag for rucking?

Arguably, yes.  It’s designed and built exactly for rucking.  It’s simplistic, easy to access and sturdy.

Is is it a large investment?

yes, $215 infact on GORUCK.com

That price does not include:

weight plate

hydration bladder

sternum strap

hip belt

I love my Rucker, and I think you will also.

GORUCK also makes a 26L bag for you giants (Zartan size)

  1. I went with the Rucker because it’s made for rucking. This is great because it removes one more area to rub and get sore.

I went with the expert sized plates on top of a yoga block to move the weight higher on my back. The theory is this will make carrying the weight easier by moving it higher. The Rucker 2.0 has this feature built into the pack. It only fits expert plates in the pocket with a securing strap. I figured the dudes at GORUCK are badass scientists, so I should do my best to copy them. I also lay a thin strip of yoga block on top of the weight before i strap in down. I do this to protect my head and neck while doing burpees or bear crawls. It’s a just in case. The final added benefit of doing this with the Rucker 1.0 is you get extra Velcro at the bottom so you can put a patch on inside. No one but you will know. It’s your little secret.
