Q School Week
41 degrees, clear, 71% humidity (lowest humidity I’ve recorded for a workout yet)
PAX – Abacus, Big Bird, Jolly Rancher, Momma’s Boy, PK, Wildflower, Fungi, Nino, Huggies(Q), Cold Call, Crockpot, Alexa, Soccer Mom.
My 19th Q in the books. As I said in the pre blast, after my first post, I had no desire to ever do this…now here I am. If there’s one thing F3 has taught me, it is to get out of my comfort zone; not only during a work out but in terms of leadership. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the newer PAX step up and lead, getting out of their comfort zone.
13 PAX counted
Mosey to the upper parking lot.
We talked about counting exercises. My own disclaimer (I don’t always get this right either)
30 SSH IC
20 Imperial Walkers IC
20 Abe Vigodas IC
20 Grass Grabbers IC
Circle Burpees – Jog in place. State your F3 name and your favorite of the 5 core principles. We got almost all the way around before we finally said them all.
Mosey to get coupons and back around to the main back parking lot.
Partner 1 – 50 man makers, 100 coupon skull crushers, 150 coupon squats
Partner 2 – Bear crawl about 30 yards. Bernie Sanders back
We talked about, when planning a workout, trying to anticipate as much as you can. Have something for the guys finishing early to do. Show the slower guys ways to modify.
Coupon curls and merkins. Coupon curls at the bottom parking lot then sprint about 100 yards to the upper parking lot and do merkins. Combined total always equals eleven.
We had to cut this short due to time constraints. Good lesson in time management.
“We learn more from failure than from success.” – Julius Caesar, Ben Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, my dad.
25 Flutter kicks IC
20 Pickle pounders IC
Sprint back to the flag
Announcements – convergence this weekend.
Intentions – Victims of the Kroger shooting
Thank you for the opportunity to lead and to teach today. Can’t wait to see the newer guys step up.
