Diablo BackBlast for Accidental, Unintentional BlackOps at The O 1/5/19

So, here is what happens when you hit snooze too many times. Arrived at 6:57 am; can’t park because of what I believe are soon-to-be ending New Years resolutions from an army of runners and running clubs; finally park; run to the flags; it’s 7:01 am; no one is there; Captain Insane-o had the Q at The Ruiner and did what he was supposed to do, which is start promptly at 7:00 am; I cursed CI nevertheless; I wondered around; TFB found me, who was also lost and evidently tardy to CI’s let’s take the PAX and hide game; we ran around like lost puppies looking for their owner; in that process we found Wham!, who had almost been kidnapped by a random headlight wearing park-goer on the basketball courts; he too was forced to park in a galaxy far far away; so then the three of us ran around, verbally abusing CI and f’n runners who caused our parking woes (at least they weren’t faux sponsored bicyclists); we ran about a mile doing this; we decided to circle up on the tennis courts at 7:15 am for a truly peer-led workout; at about 7:25 we hear Loco yelling, “Are you F3?”; so he joined us; that made four, four in our Wolfpack; we continued to split Q duties; actually got in a solid workout; and, then, met the “others” back at the flag, who had upon information and belief taken off on a run with CI at 6:59:37 am toward The Mutt.

Here’s what from best of my memory we four lost souls did this morning:

1 mile walking dead run. (This just means we ran around aimlessly like zombies.)

Wham!’s single-leg flutters (10 IC per leg)

I think I got 95% of that right.

It ended up being fun and challenging. It’s also what I love about this group. We were out there for each other, and were able to push one another to get a little better.

We joined CI and the PAX around the flags for NOR, announcements, and intentions.
