Rooster BB – 6.18.2019

As I alluded to in the preblast, I had intended to secure a Q for the Rooster over the weekend.  However, life came at me fast and I neglected to do so.  Ahh well, such is life.

PAX (11) – Fridge, Glen Ross, McAfee, Blueprint, Miyagi, Pepperoni, Digiorno, Windshield, Plumb Bob, Wham-O, Deuce (Q).

Weather: It was only sprinkling when I left my house, but it picked up to a good steady rain for about the first 5-10 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all.

5:30 hit, disclaimer given and moseyed around the school to the usual spot for COP.

SSH, Imperial walkers, merkins and some downward dog stretches.

Mosey over to the entrance of Maryhill Estates for Thing 1.  Partner up, and while Partner 1 ran to the bottom of the hill on the bridge, Partner 2 did AMRAP merkins until Partner 1 got back.  Switch and repeat until 300 total merkins complete.

Next, mosey toward the coupon garden, but take the long way around the walking path.  Circle up in the coupon garden for a little tabata.  45 seconds on, 15 second rest – we did curls, coupon merkins, coupon squats, lunges and big boys.  After first set, take a lap around the walking path and return the coupon garden.  Repeat the exercises and the lap.

We had just a couple minutes to go and so we circled up for a little Mary.  We had time for 20 each of LBCs (IC), Freddie Mercuries (IC), flutter kicks (IC), American Hammers (IC) and then 20 merkins to end.

COR, NOR and COT.  Ending with a little reminder to try to keep things in perspective, and focus on what is (and should) matter most.  I struggle with this, and so I hope that by saying it out loud, it helps me with it.
