Temp- mid 60s
I pulled in the lot about 5:15ish… already a couple cars parked. I made a lap around the school to set up the Thang… more on that later. Once I got back to the lower lot, there were already more than 15 HIM ready to kick off the Baptizer’s first WO. Looking around, there were some strong, to quite strong PAX in attendance. At 0530 the last of the PAX walked up… 22 STRONG! (a record established with no County boyz, sorry Dauber). I have been told they need to rest on Friday… Bless their hearts.
Nice and Slow
Double Down (R)
Jewel – QIC
COP – Kraken Burpee mosey around the church and school for stops with
SSH x 20 w/ 2 Kraken Burpees
Toy Soldiers x 10 w/ 4 Kraken Burpees
Downward Dog & Runners stretches w/ 6 Kraken Burpees
Grass Grabbers – 10 w/ 8 Kraken Burpees (Worm and Kilo liked the view a little too much, I think)
Last stop back where we dropped our coupons off for 10 Kraken Burpees
if you’re counting, that’s 30 Kraken Burpees (90 Hand Release Merkins) to start off.
Due to the pandemic and respecting each others space, we split into 2 groups. The first group left their coupons and went to the bottom of the Baptizer hill, and did:
40/ 38/ 36 Reps
– Leg Raises
– American Hammers
After completion – run to the top parking lot (staying to the left for distance purposes) and stop at the cone for more exercises:
– 20 T-Merkins
– 20 Carolina Dry Docks
Other group stayed at the bottom of the Hill of Stolen Souls
35 Reps w/ coupon
– Bent Over Row
After completion – run to the top parking lot and stop at overhand
– 50 4-count Flutter Kicks
– 25 4-count Mountain Climbers
Each group were to run to the opposite start and perform the other groups exercises. I hoped to get 3 rounds in of each, but that didn’t happen. Good thing, Obama’s were waiting… and I think that would have been bad for the PAX doing the Taste of the Tough tonight.
We circled up right at 0615. I shared why the rep counts were chosen, approximate weight lost in the last year, and the various pant sizes I have gone through since joining F3. I thanked every single PAX for pushing me, and for the guys always out in front of the workouts- pulling me along over the last year. I’m forever grateful.
I look forward to what the next year brings for me, and especially F3 Louisville as a whole. I’m just grateful to be a part of this.
The Baptizer is open for business and I can’t wait to see where this thing goes over the next year or so! There are some strong Q’s lined up already! Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to lead.
