As YHC went to bed the night before, the chances of rain were about 70%. Pelican told the region it wasn’t going to rain so I decided to plan a workout that did not need any cover. (at the risk of being banned from the region, I think we may need to listen to Pelican more often, just not too often). The PAX that decided to attend this morning were:
Stick UP (QIC)
The disclaimer was given and we started with a clockwise mosey around the parking lot island to circle up were we started.
COP: 30 SSH (IC), 10 Grass Grabbers (IC), 15 Imperial Walkers (IC), Downward dog, L/R Calf Stretch, L/R Runners Stretch, Kendra Newmans.
THANG: We partnered up (socially distant of course) and took a look at the fancy cardboard posted up against the building. The workout was explained, in GREAT DETAIL, on how it was to be performed among the PAX. YHC turned on some slow jams to keep everyone motivated. Jewel did make a comment about the tunes. Not quite sure what was said but I heard something about preferring Pelican’s Taylor Swift playlist. The beat down went as follows:
P1 would perform the exercise and reps listed while P2 held a static movement. When the reps were met by P1 the partners would switch. This was performed 4 times to complete circuit 1 and the pair would run a lap around the island. After returning to the starting spot the next pair of exercises and static holds would be done 4 times. Run when each partner completed their 4 rounds. Continue this pattern until the bottom of the cardboard was complete and then rinse and repeat.
Round 1: 20 Block Merkins with a Plank Hold
Round 2: 20 Bent Over Rows with a Static Curl Hold
Round 3: 15 Coupon Thrusters with an Over Head/ Squat Hold
Round 4: 10 Manmakers with a Hollow Body Hold
At 6:15 time was called and we circled up around the flags.
COP: countOrama, nameOrama, FNG naming: Welcome NPR!, announcements, Intentions, Words of Thanks.
It is always an honor to lead the PAX who show up to the Poshlands. I hope the WO does what it is meant to do by pushing each of you further than you think you can go.
