PAX: Russdiculous, Flo Jo, Handbook, McAfee, Ynot, Harry Carey, Motor Boat, Sump Pump (Q)
Weather – 90% chance of rain. I’m not sure it rained at all.
Standard fare warmups. Arm Circle, Michael Phelps, SSH, Steve Earle, 60 Second Arm Circles.
Thang 1 — Partner up for a Modified Brick by Brick Shuttlerun (BBBS). Partner 2 lines up 2 tennis courts across from partner 1 (about 30 yards). Partner one has 2 coupons on his end. The Thang was for P1 to begin the following.
- 25 merkins
- 25 squats
- 20 merkins
- 20 squats
- 15 merkins
- 15 squats
- 10 merkins
- 10 squats
- 5 merkins
- 5 squats
While P1 worked on the above, P2 would shuttlerun down to P1 and grab 1 coupon and farmer carry back to his baseline. Return for the second coupon. Once all PAX completed the first exercise, we switched. P2 performed the same exercise and P1 moved coupons. PAX that finished early were encouraged to SSH while waiting for the 6.
We then moved on to some coupon work.
- 25 curls
- 25 overheads press
- 25 coupon merkins
- 25 coupon squats
A few extra minutes for the Crazy Indian. The PAX lined up on the fence and started with BTTW. The end PAX would drop and run to the other end and back to BTTW position. We continued until failure. McAfee edged out the rest of the PAX and was A winner.
We finished with 7 minutes of Mary. Each PAX would call out an exercise of no more than 20 reps. Flo Jo finished right at 615 and time was called.
Announcements were plentiful. Check Slack for details.
Spoken intentions by Flo Jo and many left unsaid. I reminded the PAX that when we are in the gloom, we are still leaders and are making/being the change that we want to see. “In order to lead the orchestra, you must turn your back to the crowd.” I asked them to carry this message into their day to drive that change.
Happy July Boys!
