Posting on Monday can be a challenge for many. Posting the first Monday back from a week long vacation is a bit more challenging. Posting at 0500 at The Abyss on Monday after a week long vacation is even tougher. And then, add to that the spirit of Flip Flop signing me up to Q it! But let’s be honest…had he not done that, there was no way I was getting out of the fart sack this morning.
So thanks for the motivation! Ha – see what I did there?!
PAX: Flip Flop, Kitty Litter, Uncle Sam (R), and Jolly Rancher (Q)
Kitty Litter posted the day after getting lost in the woods with a few other PAX on some trail run. I’m sure there’s more stories there, but they survived and had fun so that’s all that matters. For those that haven’t visited the Abyss lately, Uncle Sam is rocking a bit more environmentally friendly vehicle versus his truck of days past – taking advantage of all of the used car needs out there. And Flip Flop actually beat me to the AO this morning and I rolled in at like 0455. So, that’s impressive in and of itself.
Time was called and disclaimers provided. The rain couldn’t seem to make up its mind, which made weinke planning a bit more challenging. And, when time was called there wasn’t really any rain to speak of. So, an audible was called.
- Grass Grabbers
- Copperhead Squats
- Toy Soldiers
We then set out for a mosey up to the entrance of the park where we did Bat Wings. Then, a mosey back to the flag and coupons for Thang 1.
Thang 1 – Four Corners:
Started out on the basketball courts doing an exercise, then move to the next corner, and rinse and repeat until the startex. Four rounds, which included:
- Round 1 – 10x Coupon Merkins each corner [baseline movements were Murder Bunnies and other long ends were Rifle Carries].
- Round 2 – 20x Curls [baseline movements were Farmer Carries and other long ends were Rifle Carries].
- Round 3 – 20x Squats [baseline movements same as Round 1].
- Round 4 – 10x Tricep Extensions [baseline movements same as Round 2].
We then went for another mosey to the island near the boat ramp road and then back.
Thang 2 – Countdowns:
We went over to the portico hoping for some dry ground, but unfortunately mother nature had different plans. So, we did dips and derkins – a Tony Malito special. We did 10x of each and then a mosey around the playground. Came back and did 9x of each and then another mosey. Rinse and repeat until 1x.
Time was called at 0530am and we went back to the flag.
Countarama, namearama, announcements and intentions.
We mentioned the upcoming Land Navigation ruck led by Focker and Lambeau on December 18.
Always humbled to lead – even if I didn’t sign up to do it!
Jolly Rancher out!
