Originally I planned to bring out the potted plants but the weather didn’t cooperate. Given the cold weather, I modified this workout to be more run heavy.
It was my first opportunity to use my Explorer’s 4 by 4. When I began the with disclaimer at 5:30am, there were four pax (Kitty Litter, F-Stop, Edward Scissorhands, and Meter Maid Q).
We began with a COP on the basketball court to get the blood flowing. A couple of times back and forth and a few Bernie Sanders. Then we circled up for some mountain climbers IC, grass grabbers IC, Kendra Newmans (arm circles) and Michael Phelps. Then, we began our mosey around the 1.8 mile Long Run Park loop. At the start of the run, Kitty Litter kept doing ice slides on purpose acting like Marvel’s Iceman.
Along the way, we stopped a few times for a few exercises like Copperhead Squats, Hillbillies and Toy Soldiers IC. On our complete loop around, we only saw one car but it did not cross our path.
After competing the loop, we went over to the playground and spray park. Each double bench was originally going to be 10 step ups. Seeing the slickness of the benches, I modified it into dips. There were five sets of double benches per lap so we did two laps (100 dips). Then, I told them to ignore the benches and continue moseying. We circled up near the flag for a few other exercises before I called time. All in all we did nearly 3 miles.
We circled up for COR, NOR, intentions and a closing prayer.
