It was a great morning with a few of the PAX that decided to join me. Those included Viking, Timeshare and Nice and Slow. Monday is always a tough day to try and post because 0530am shows up really quick. Nevertheless, we conquered the fart sack together and got better.
Time was called and the standard disclaimers were provided. We then started off into some COP, including:
- Grass Grabbers
- Toy Soldiers
- Imperial Squats
- Downward Dog + Runners Stretches
I think introduced the one and only thing, which was a set of exercises where we started, a short mosey [0.25 miles] down to the pavilion next to the lake, a few more exercises, and then the short mosey back [which was still 0.25 miles, but all uphill…so, it felt like 2.5 miles up].
The exercises at the top:
- 20x – Overhead Presses
- 20x – Skull Crushers
- 20x – Curls
- 20x – Squats [weighted if you wanted]
- 20x – Big Boy Situps
- 20x – Flutter Kicks
The exercises at the bottom:
- 20x – Merkins
- 20x – Dips
- 20x – Step Ups
We did three rounds and had a little extra time for some Mary, which included:
- Gas Pumps – by YHC
- American Hammers – by Viking
- Pickle Pounders – by Nice and Slow
- Ankle Biters – by Timeshare
Time was then called.
Namearama and countarama were skipped because, well, there were only four of us and I think we all knew each other pretty well – and, we could count to four pretty easily. We then went into announcements including the monthly ruck on March 26 led by PK and Dare to Care on March 5 led by Jitterbug.
It felt good to get up, get out and get better. Hoping I can ride this high through the rest of Monday before I get up and do it all over again tomorrow.
Get out and get better. Always a pleasure to lead.
Jolly Rancher out!
