BB- Wisteria @ Pleasantville – Meter Q 8/14/20

I was looking forward to my second Q of the week after the Foundry on Wednesday. As the PAX started to arrive, a pickup truck going the wrong way went over a nearby curb. It brought back recent memories of Nutty Professor (one of Dauber’s 50 brother in laws) recent driving performances at the County. Holy Roller and I watched and as they turned around, I realized it was one of our PAX. I have my suspicions that it was Cowboy but I am not 100% certain.

I had hoped the thunderstorms would hold off so I could execute on my weinke. Luckily, it was only a light refreshing rain. When I started, we had 9 PAX ready to start the day right.

PAX: PewPew, Holy Roller (R), Porkchop, Fergie, Blart (nice to see you put again!), Cowboy, Malpractice (getting better and stronger each workout), Whiskers, and Meter Maid Q

I provided the disclaimer including everyone to maintain their social distance. we head down to the amphitheater for COP.

We did 25 SSH IC, 20 Copperhead Squats, 15 Plank Jacks, Runner’s Stretch and Stuff (just like Pelican would describe it), Scorpion, Kendrick Newman (arm circles- forward and backward), and Michael Phelps OYO.

The first thang was entitled “All the Way to the Top” using a 5,10,15. We split into two sides to maintain distance and 1st round did 5 derkins on each amphitheater step and 5 prisoner get ups at the top (Prisoner getups is one I learned from Alexa). 2nd round was 10 big boys at each step and 10 prisoner getups at the top. The last round we did 15 four count flutter kicks (LePew would enjoyed it) and 15 prisoner gets ups at the top. There were no flippers like the last time Focker Qed and had the Canadian geese ready to move on.

The next thang was a mosey around PV. Periodically, we would stop along the way and do 25 of a particular exercise. At the stops we did, merkins, copperhead squats, SSH, burpees (Holy Roller can’t get enough of these and Manmakers), and heel touches.

I had not really planned my exact mosey route but it worked out well leaving a few minutes for Mary. I used a recent Mary exercise I learned from Russdiculous – elevators. You pick out a floor between the 1st,2nd and 3rd floor. Each PAX goes around every 5 seconds and calls out another floor. We went through two rounds and finished out with Gas Pumps IC.

We did COR, NOR, Announcements (Taste of the Tough on 8/21) and Intentions.

My message continued to be on perspective. In 2019, nearly 17% of Kentucky lived in poverty. This means a family of 4 made less than $25k per year and this % was prior to COVID. I asked they they be the light in darkness. We closed out with an Our Father.

Always humbled to lead,

-Meter Maid
