The Xtender @ The Mutt 2/7/19 Back Blast

Weather – 58 degrees.  Slight drizzle.  Wet pavement

Pax 10 – Huggies(Q), Nice n Slow, Miyagi, Windshield, Snowman, McAfee, Plumb Bob, Kilo, Deuce, Grinder

Great morning.  The rain let up just in time.  I was able to wear shorts (ranger panties ) and a t-shirt, haven’t done that in a while.  We had a nice Pre-ruck, arrived at 4:30 and did a few miles.  This was my V-Q at the Mutt.  I’ve been looking forward to it for a while.  I signed up last month as to not miss the chance as I’ve posted here a handful of times and always enjoyed it.

The Thang

Mosey to coupon garden.  Grabbed 1 coupon each and moseyed over to the small hill on the road to the right of the church for some 11’s.

At the bottom of the hill we did Manmakers on even numbers and Coupon curls on odd numbers.

Bernie Sanders up the hill for Bobby Hurley’s on odd numbers and 2 count lunges on even numbers

Run back down the hill.

We did coupon flutter kicks and coupon American hammers while waiting for the 6.

We then moseyed back to the coupon garden and dropped off the coupons.

We then moseyed back over to the side parking lot for none other than…

SHARKS AND MINNOWS

th

The wet pavement made this somewhat of a challenge but nobody got hurt and I think we had some fun.

The PAX lined up and ran about 40 yards to another set of cones.  One guy, “The Shark”, attempts to tag the “Minnows” as they run by.  Anybody tagged becomes a shark themselves.  We run back and forth until there are no minnows left.

We did a few rounds of this and tried a bear crawl version for the last round which showed some promise.

Intentions

I echoed past COT’s by Grinder and CI about being present and living in the moment, something I struggle with daily.

Happy to lead this fine group of men in the gloom today.

Huggies out
