It’s been awhile since I’ve taken the reins on a Q. I forgot how horribly I sleep the night before … I’m currently on coffee number 3 (or maybe 4) as I write this.
As I was thinking about what the workout would look like, I knew I wanted to keep it simple, but challenging. I realized it had been some time since a good old fashioned Dora centric workout. So I decided to re-introduce it to the Pax.
Pax: Gillispie, Tammy Faye Baker, Hobo, Slinky Dog, Violet, Wham!, DiGiornio, Butcher, Tron, Vincent, Scuba Steve, Pixar, FNG: Big Tuna — Welcome!
Moseyed over to CA for COP. It was a combination of SSH’s, BOYO’s, Imperial Walkers, Downward Dog stretches and more BOYO’s.
Thing 1: Scout Run
1(ish) mile Scout run around the track over to Cogan’s Cove. The leader of the line sprinted 10 seconds and did merkins until the line caught up for him to rejoin the back of the line.
Thing 2: Modified Dora
Pax paired up at the bottom of Cogan’s Cove and we took on a modified Dora. In front of the normal 100 merkins, 200 squats and 300 LBC’s, we kicked it off with 50 burpees. The partner replaced the normal up and back with a prisoner run up the hill and around the circle.
The Pax made great time completing this, so they were rewarded with a bear crawl back up the hill and then a mosey to the tennis courts.
Thing 3: Suicide Merkins
We had an extra few minutes so we threw in a quick suicide merkin… 5 merkins starting at court 1, then 10, 15, 20…. with an AYG sprint on the last leg.
