It is hard to believe that I have been coming out three years with F3 Louisville. Airplane head locked me (glad to see him back out and Qing today at the Agony) and my first post was a black ops workout at Crestwood Elementary. Fast forward to today which was my 533rd post and 48th Q.
In looking at the weather yesterday, I was worried the workout would be under a constant rain but it held off.
When I arrived,I drove to the back of the Boondocks and setup for the workout. If case you are wondering the trash truck comes out to the Boondocks, it comes on Thursday mornings around 515am. Let’s see who can head lock them.
I set up my lights, speaker and workout board before coming back out to see the 10 other PAX. Here is who attended: LePew, Captain Crunchberries, DeVitto, Honey Do, Dauber, Yankovich (R), Lite Brite, Flex Seal, FOCKER, Swag, Meter Maid (Q).
I provided the usual disclaimer. (I forgot to mention that Pelican said be sure to watch out for Derby traffic.) We took our coupons and traveled to the back of the Boondocks. We did 15 Grassgrabbers IC and then I pulled out a new COP exercise. It is called Danger Zone (the song from Top Gun). It is 3 minutes and 30 seconds of SSH and every time they say Danger Zone you do a squat. Dauber’s version would have been 3 minutes and 45 seconds because of commercials. Perhaps someone can send him a BOGO coupon. Then, we did some Kendra Newmans (arm circles – forward and backward) and concluded with Michael Phelps OYO.
The main thang was a board you versus you workout. Each year it got progressively harder and harder to see as I had a smaller font size toward the bottom.
As you would expect, FOCKER was in front of the PAX. We ran out of time before anyone could finish year 3. I played an old Boondocks playlist from a prior Q last year.
With about 5 minutes left, we took our coupons and returned to the flag. We had about 30 seconds left for some Mary. I did a Jolly favorite gas pumps to conclude. It was interesting to see Captain Crunchberries avoid getting wet on the ground. He sat on his coupon doing it. He may need to name it as an official workout move. Ask him to demonstrate it next time he has a coupon.
We circled around the flag. We did COR and NOR. For announcements, the Dare to Care will be on May 8th. For more info, see Asing Zing. May 15th County Fair CSAUP running 5:30am to 9am. There will be patches for those completing at least 2 of the 4 workouts. Honey Do thanked Captain Crunchberries for his leadership and being site Q at the Moonshiner. Honey Do will be the new Moonshiner site Q moving forward.
My message was to go out and do something hard and challenging. FOCKER and other PAX will do a (Heavy Tough Light) HTL in South Carolina the end of June. Many PAX including me are doing the Tough Mudder July 31 in Columbus, Indiana. To sign up, see LePew for a link. I also signed up to do Biking for Cancer on September 11th. I will be biking 35 miles. Reach out to me for more details if you want to participate or if you are interested in donating.
For intentions, we prayed for DeVitto’s coworker, Husky, God’s creation and those traveling for Derby Week. We lifted up the stated intentions and unsaid intentions and concluded with an Our Father.
Always humbled to lead,
