I had originally taken the Q for 10/23 but with convergence being at Vets, I ended up swapping to this week. Everyone should come out to convergence next week including the pre-ruck.
This morning I joined three other pax on a Nest-pre run in prep for the mini on 11/7. When I got this morning to leave for the run, I realized how cold the weather had gotten from the wind and modified to running tights. Our original running route was to take us over the tracks toward Maple Ave but the train didn’t move until mid way through the Nest.
I came back from the six mile black ops run. (Note to self: Don’t run with Backflop and Dauber the day before a long run.) I got setup prior to the start and Cratchit notified the GCA text string of the stalled train.
It felt like a Mutt start as we began around 7:01 or 7:02 with a disclaimer. We started with four and after a few minutes we had seven pax who navigated around the train. They included: Hush Puppy, Tenderfoot, Yankovich (R), Captain Crunchberry, Brown Water, Cratchit, and Meter Maid (Q).
I gather everyone up for a COP. We did SSH IC, Toy Soldiers IC, Mountain Climbers IC, Downward Dog and Stuff (strict- is there any other way?), and some Michael Phelps OYO.
The main thang would be a you vs you board. A couple of my dry erase markers dried up so I was left with an orange dry erase marker. I mean it is festive right but apparently no one could read it. I told them they needed a decoder ring. I walked them through each of the exercises. You would do each of them (10 reps each) and then a full lap around the County (1/2 mile). I gave demonstrations of the Toddler Squat get ups and preacher sit-ups. Yankovich really likely those. I even threw in swimmers for the back abs as well. For each round you would add 5 reps to each exercise.
About 10 minutes in, I added some Amazon music for PAX enjoyment (sorry – no ads or Taylor Swift for Dauber).
With about 8 minutes left, we circled up for Mary. We did Gas Pumps IC, Flutter Kicks IC, LBCs IC, Nolan Ryans, 5 BOYOs and some elevators to close out. Time was called.
We did COR and NOR. We prayed for pax and relatives recovering from surgeries. We prayed for those dealing with cancer and other ailments. We also raised up the unsaid intentions and ended with an Our Father.
