6/12/19 D-Day 75th Anniversary Rucking Challenge Workout Backblast

When I saw this month’s GoRuck challenge I knew this one that I really wanted to do since both of my grandfathers were in the war.  For those not familiar with the Challenge, the goal is to ruck 25, 50, or 75 miles and complete 2, 3, or 4, specific workouts to receive a bronze, silver or gold patch.  (Anything for a patch!)

PAX: Miyagi, Snowman, Plumb Bob

Weather: Perfect.  When I say perfect I mean PERFECT! Mostly clear skies and 57deg in June. You can’t beat it.

The Workout: This workout was dubbed the 75th Anniversary Workout

  1. Ruck 1 mile as fast as possible (maybe we didn’t ruck AFAP but it was a great 2ndF opportunity so we took advantage of it)
  2. 75 ruck squats
  3. 75 push ups
  4. 75 dead lifts
  5. 75 overhead shoulder presses
  6. Ruck 1 mile AFAP

We’re planning on doing another workout next Wednesday.  For those you doing the challenge or those that just want to get better be on the lookout for info about the next one.
