When I woke up this morning, it felt like a Scooby Doo episode with the thick fog surrounding the County. I drove up and placed my board for the main thang under the portico. At 530, there were six pax present (DeVitto, Valdez, Octodad, BigBird, Dauber and Meter Maid [Q]) ready to start off the final Thursday of 2021 on the right foot.
I provided a disclaimer including to be careful as we moved around the County given the heavy fog. We moseyed to the portico. I started with downward dog, arch holds for the back abs, Kendra Newmans (arms circles). I started to talk about the main thang and everyone looked at the board.
Everyone was ready for the start getting ready for the dips but I threw in a Michael Phelps OYO. The PAX stayed together and I called out the exercises outside of the Bobby Hurleys and Step Ups. We made it three laps around the County. At one point someone brought up Backflop getting the small air fryer on a text string and Pelican jumping on it to comment quickly. An unnamed PAX said “Does he work?” Speaking of Backflop, he would have enjoyed the dumpster squats.
Next, we headed to the playground for some 5-10-15. We did two rounds of 5 pull-ups, 10 merkins and 15-4 count flutter kicks. Then, we did 22 burpees for the upcoming 2022.
Then, we headed over to the Portico for 22 preacher sit-ups. Then, we finished up with a two minute walk sit until time was called.
We moseyed back to the flag for COR and NOR. For announcements, Dauber is Qing Vets and BigBird is Qing Pleasantville tomorrow. Also, we have the firehouse at 7am for workout style and string 2nd F. Also encourage others to come to Waffle House for breakfast at 8am near the Westport Road Walmart.
Valdez mentioned a separate monthly challenge that Cowboy, Viking and others did for 2021. They give a daily workout that changes each month and send a text when it is completed. Free free to reach out to Valdez if you wish to participate in 2022.
